ACL in the NHS
In partnership with Adair International, David and I recently had the pleasure of training some NHS employees from 3 trusts in the Midlands. They were part of a programme that was exclusively delivered for them, teaching them how to facilitate John Adair’s world famous leadership workshop, Action Centred Leadership.
We’re really proud to be working so closely with the NHS and are very excited that another 30 people or so from the same cluster of trusts will be attending our programmes next year.
Action Centred Leadership is a highly innovative approach in the field of leadership development. With the focus being on what a leader has to do in order to support the team and its individuals in achieving objectives, our attendees find that they understand what they have to do very quickly, instead of listening to theory. It is practical, accessible and the principles are extremely easy to implement. Clearly, these NHS trusts agree with us and are now introduing a common language into their environments.
The words, Task, Team and Individual now have real significance and the iconic image of John’s 3 Circles model serves as a constant reminder of the role and responsibilities of each leader.
If you would like to know how your trust could adopt ACL as its leadership strategy, please contact us at sarah@school-cld.co.uk.

How to Get Ahead of the Training Crowd
There are many training providers in the market-place, either as small businesses or independent indivdiuals. It is increasingly challenging to stand out from the crowd.
Help Your Clients Choose You
These days it is not enough to be experienced. New customers do not know you from anyone else they search for on the net. They need other criteria on which to base their decision. What will make them select you over the others?
Well an accreditation is a good place to start. It at least demonstrates a standard of training that you have achieved. It proves that you have been assessed and deemed good enough to be awarded the accreditation and that can’t be bad.
The Power of Niche
With an Action Centred Leadership accreditation you have even more of an advantage. You are not a generalist in leadership. You are a specialist in one of the most enduring leadership theories of its time and created by the UK’s leading thinker on leadership – Professor John Adair. Visit any bookstore and you will see many books by John on his subject. He is highly influential and is currently advising the United Nations on their leadership development strategies!
With this ACL Accreditation you have access to all John’s material. You are provided with a ready made course, no need to re-invent it and you instantly have your niche – a critical marketing element in today’s world.
Be Trained by the Best
Our accreditation programmes are exclusive in the UK. No other company is authorised to deliver them. We are proud to tell you that we were personally appointed by John to run them. They are held twice a year.
The Dates for 2012
As our October 2011 programme is sold out we are already taking bookings for our March 2012 course. The dates are the 6-8 March 2012 and our venue is in Godalming, near Guildford Surrey.
The second event will take place on the 23-25 October 2012 (inclusive).
Do come and join us. Whether you are based in the Learning & Development division of your organisation or you are independent trainer, it could be the best decision you ever made.
